About WokHei

Wok hei (镬气) — literally "breath of the wok" — is the elusive, smoky flavor that comes from cooking at extreme heat in a well-seasoned wok. It's the soul of Chinese cooking, and it's what we're named after.

Our Mission

WokHei exists to bridge the gap between authentic Chinese cooking and the American kitchen. We believe you shouldn't need to live near a Chinatown or read Mandarin to cook incredible Chinese food at home.

What Makes Us Different
